Conversion and reuse of a redundant High Street Post Office and Postal sorting centre dating from the 1950’s within a town centre conservation area to accommodate a restaurant a coffee shop and an M&S foodstore.

The project included an extensive archaeological excavation to the areas where demolition works were undertaken exposing the remains of a medieval churchyard and hospital including the recording and exhumation of a number of burials.
